Journeyman Electrician
**Job Title: Journeyman Electrician** **Job Description** As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for electrical repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to industrial facilities and equipment. You will troubleshoot, install, and make repairs to a variety of electrical systems, from industrial equipment to facility lighting, wall plugs, and office space connections. You will also program PLCs, VFDs, and other control hardware, read blueprints and schematics, and use specialized tools and instruments for troubleshooting and repair. **Responsibilities** + Perform electrical repairs, maintenance, and upgrades in industrial facilities. + Troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical systems, including industrial equipment and facility lighting. + Program PLCs, VFDs, and other control hardware. + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Use specialized tools and instruments to troubleshoot, repair, and program electrical equipment. + Apply knowledge of the NEC code and NFPA 70E for interpretation and implementation. + Troubleshoot control systems throughout the plant and make necessary repairs. + Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, Ethernet and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components. + Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance. + Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors. + Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records. + Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related equipment. **Essential Skills** + Journeyman Electrician experience with a valid journeyman license. + Proficiency in electrical maintenance and construction. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Experience with high voltage electrical systems. + Knowledge of the NEC code and NFPA 70E. + Skilled in troubleshooting and wiring. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Master Electrician certification is a plus. + Experience as a Service Electrician. + Proficiency in electrical installations. + Flexibility to work various shifts, including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shifts. **Why Work Here?** This position offers the opportunity to join a union after 90 days and enjoy great benefits. The available shifts are: 1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri, 2nd Shift: 3pm-11:30pm Mon-Fri, 3rd Shift: 11pm-7:30am Mon-Fri, 4th Shift: Fri 7am-3:30pm, Sat & Sun 7am-7:30pm, Mon 7am-3:30pm. The work environment involves maintaining and working with industrial electrical systems and equipment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Flint, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $75483.20 - $75483.20/yr.
