Responsibilities
17.8.3 A Journeyman Mechanic is an employee who: (a) is qualified to and does overhaul, repair, and maintain automotive, traditional/hybrid electrical aerial insulated equipment, and other utility work equipment including hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic driven components and equipment; (b) is qualified to operate a garage and maintain equipment records; and (c) is qualified to instruct personnel in operation and preventive maintenance procedures of assigned equipment.
Position requires a self starting, self motivated individual who can perform, arrange for, track and over see the repair of small and large distribution utility equipment including gas and diesel powered, hydraulically operated digger/derricks, personnel buckets and other construction equipment with minimum supervision. A focus on cost and limiting end user down time is a priority. Input of computer based maintenance records is a must. The ability to easily adapt and focus your job scheduling priorities is a bonus.
