**Job Title: Journeyman Tool Die Maker** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Tool Die Maker for our 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience and a commitment to building a long-term career with our company. The Die Maker will be responsible for verifying dimensions and alignments using calipers, gauges, and micrometers, as well as visualizing dimensions and tolerances for assemblies based on specifications and blueprints. **Responsibilities** + Verify dimensions and alignments with calipers, gauges, and micrometers. + Visualize dimensions and tolerances for assemblies based on specifications and blueprints. + Repair, make, and modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using machine and hand tools. + Smooth metal surfaces or edges to fit tight tolerances for surface-critical parts. + Work with progressive dies, compound dies, and small hydraulic deep draw dies up to 35 tons. + Handle prototype development and modification. **Essential Skills** + Journeyman's Card + Metal Stamping + 10+ years of Die Repair Experience + Mechanical Aptitude + High School Diploma or GED **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Analytical thinking + Attention to detail **Why Work Here?** Join a company that values quality, precision, and a strong work ethic. The standard working hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with current extended hours from Monday to Friday and optional Saturdays from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livonia, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
