Job Summary:

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE)is seeking a Journeyman Training Specialist with the familiarity utilizing instructional systems design, learning theory, and content development processes. This role will be responsible for developing educational content and producing courseware in accordance with Government requirements, technical specifications, and instructional system design (ISD) formats. Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Design, implement and evaluate training programs.

Support the development of distributed,high-quality courseware, online educational and training content.

Support the assessment of training needs, evaluation of training effectiveness, and measuring of learning outcomes.

Integrate audio, visual, and written material into interesting, instructive, and intuitive products.

Complete products and material according to plans of action and milestone (POAM) schedules.

Create effective and engaging training materials using various instructional design models and learning theories (Andragogy, Transformational Learning, Experiential Learning, Self-Directed Learning).

Develop written, audio, and graphic products to include training programs for use in distributed synchronous and asynchronous programs, computer-based courseware, and interactive educational products.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Secret Clearance

Associate Degree with 4+ year experience in related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in training or technical experience

1 to 3 years’ experience with eLearning practices and technology strategies in a military training environment.

1 to 3 years’ experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

1 to 3 years’ experience with Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL).

Familiarity with training software, e-learning platforms, and other technological tools used in training.

Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Sharable Content Object Resource Model (SCORM).

Experience with eLearning and curriculum and courseware authoring for web-based training and education development.

Efficient in managing time and resources to meet training deadlines and objectives.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities.

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience in related field.

TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility

Military experience/familiarity.

Ability to ‘own’ and proactively drive work.

Ability to apply learning science to develop requirements and desired instructional outcomes.

Understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements relevant to training content.

Competence in managing training projects, including planning, execution, and follow-up.

Ability to build rapport with trainees and work effectively within a team.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
