Black & McDonald Limited is actively seeking a Journeyperson HVAC Technician - Service based out of our Markham office to support our truck-based service to various clients in the GTA.

The Journeyperson HVAC Technician will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain and various HVAC/R systems and componentsReplace and upgrade existing systems and components related to the HVAC tradeRespond to emergency service calls within our client baseIdentify deficiencies and make recommendations to clientsComplete work orders, deficiency reports, field quotations, estimates and daily time summaries in a timely fashionReplacement of various types of equipment (small projects)Perform scheduled maintenance as assigned24-hour emergency on-call rotation – approximately 3 rotations per yearMaintain a professional demeanourExceptional customer service skills

313A Certificate of QualificationValid G1 Gas licenseODP and TSSA Brazing Certified

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years of experience as an HVAC Journeyperson performing service, maintenance, upgrades, and installations for ICI (Institutional, Commercial, Industrial) sitesAny related manufacturer factory training is an asset

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Due to many mandatory vaccination requirements at client projects / facilities, in order to provide substantial employment by ensuring compliance with our client’s mandates, the successful candidate will be required to validate full vaccination prior to hireValid G driver’s licenseStrong mechanical and electrical/controls ability and problem-solving skillsGood physical strength and staminaAbility to work well with coworkers and clients
