Position OverviewQinetiQ US seeks an Accountant who will assist the Controller and Assistant Controller in ensuring completeness and accuracy of the General Ledger. For this position, the successful candidate must have proven organizational and technical skills.
Responsibilities Assist Accounting Manager in all General Ledger related functions.Perform daily bank reconciliations.Analyze and prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.Propose or record journal entries in support of month end close and account reconciliations.Maintain Indirect Employee Workforce codes.Collaborate with Finance Team to ensure activity in the general ledger is performed within indirect budgets limits set forth by organizations and projects assignments in Costpoint.Support Finance Team and other accounting shared services Teams by providing guidance on proper coding of transactions.Assist Accounting Manager and Controller with month-end and year-end closing process.Support financial and tax audits and annual incurred cost submission.Collaborate with other members of the finance team.Follow all company policies and procedures and adhere to finance laws and regulations. Required Qualifications 4 years of accounting for gov con experience.Excellent knowledge of Costpoint including basic BI report writing skills are a mustProven working knowledge of FAR and GAAP neededExcellent communication and organization skills, attention to detail and ability to efficiently manage multiple prioritiesExcellent knowledge of MS Office. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with account reconciliation softwares a plus.Accounting degree preferredManufacturing experience a plus Company EEO Statement
