A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Junior Cost Accountant at MKS Instruments, you will support Global Services assisting in cost analysis, inventory tracking, and financial reporting. You will play a key role in collecting cost data, analyzing variances, and maintaining financial accuracy to support operational efficiency. In this role, you will work closely with Global Service Controller and Global Service leadership to ensure compliance with company policies and financial standards. You Will Make an Impact By: + Assisting with month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and variance analysis for global service centers. + Supporting inventory analysis and cost reporting, including excess and obsolete inventory reviews across multiple regions. + Assisting in the preparation of standard cost updates, purchase price variance analysis, and cost roll-ups. + Preparing and maintaining financial reports related to service center performance, including labor, materials, and overhead costs. + Conducting routine cost audits to ensure proper allocation of expenses and accuracy of financial records. + Ensuring compliance with internal controls, including cycle counts, physical inventory reconciliation, and cost accounting procedures. + Analyze cost drivers and provide insights into operational efficiencies across different global service locations. Skills that You Bring: + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 2+ years of experience in in cost accounting, service accounting, or related financial roles. + Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling). + Experience in financial systems such as Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Oracle is a plus. + Fluent in English with effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments and global teams. Preferred Skills: . + Experience with cost accounting principles, standard costing, and service center financial management. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadlines.
