The Jr. Trade Credit Underwriter, Brazil will be based in our São Paulo office with the ability to work strategies for the country, travel when business requires and lead local underwriting team efficiently. Your contribution at AIGAs an Underwriter, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and/or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset. Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes. Responsibilities• Developing strong relationships with brokers and clients to grow the Underwriter’s portfolio of trade credit business.• Underwriting new and renewal insurance submissions and negotiating policy terms and conditions.• Analyzing domestic and international corporate credits, evaluating financial information, and recommending or approving appropriate credit limits and terms.• Professionally maintaining and properly servicing an existing portfolio of trade credit insurance business.• Market, sell and present to brokers and insureds to increase submission flow.• Engaging in various underwriting and marketing projects to improve overall company results.• Contribute to group revenue targets and meeting internal operations/audit directives for the division.• Meeting operating and audit guidelines and goals of senior management.• Participating in and completing special projects as required by the profit center.• Regular collaboration with AIG distribution colleagues in identifying and closing trade credit opportunities.• Some travel required. What we are looking for• Studies in economics, actuarial, accounting and/or business administration.• Desired commercial / sales expertise and broker relationship management, willing to provide sales support and business trips.• Desired some experience in financial and balance sheet analysis. • Ability to communicate and negotiate at C-level, ability to express clearly and precisely.• Willingness to make decisions, ability to work in a team, quick perception and good self-organization.• Desired portfolio analysis skills with broad knowledge of trade sectors. • Desired business acumen and successful commercial career experiences.• Ability to work in a matrix organization.• Analytical and project management skills.• Personal initiative, commitment, accountability, resilience, flexibility• Team player and motivated personality.• Good knowledge of English, knowledge of other foreign languages would be an advantage.
