The Junior Data Engineer will help maintain and optimize data systems that facilitate collaboration between the government and external stakeholders. Data Maintenance. Update and maintain the information within enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency across the enterprise.Requirements Documentation. Assist the relationship management team by identifying and documenting technical data requirements for the enterprise systems.Data Standards. Develop guidance around the appropriate use of enterprise systems, ensuring consistent data standards across the organization.Customer Service. Provide technical expertise and support to HQ and field users, assisting them with technical issues and ensuring smooth system operations.System Auditing. Audit system content for missing or inappropriate metadata, report technical issues, and ensure timely resolution of problems.Data Delivery & Documentation. Ensure that data delivery and implementation processes are scheduled, documented, and processed efficiently.Required Qualifications:
Education. A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Engineering) or at least 8 years of experience without a degree. Experience: 2-4 years of work experience in a data analytics or data engineering role.4 years of experience in technical writing to document processes, standards, and user guidance using MS Office.Technical Skills:Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, R, Perl, bash) and advanced SQL for data manipulation.Experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Microsoft PowerBI.Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap/Reactstrap, and JavaScript frameworks like React.Key Traits. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people. Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels.Highly collaborative, with the ability to engage in discussions, collaborate with team members, and improve results through collective input.Proven ability to meet deadlines while managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality results under time constraints.A self-motivated individual eager to contribute, learn, and exceed customer expectations through their work.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.Preferred Qualifications:
