We believe in Subject Matter Expertise and code ownership. We keep the process simple so that developers can focus on coding. With minimum overhead, developers interact directly with Product Managers, peer designers, and QA. If you are proud of your code, you belong on our team.
 

You have:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer/software engineering, Computer Science, equivalent, or better. Good working knowledge of C and/or C++. Experience in embedded development. Demonstrated track record of excellence. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

It would be nice if you also had:

Previous Nokia co-op experience. Hands-on experience with IP routers and/or IP test tools. Background in networking. Interest in technical leadership and mentoring junior developers. Aptitude and Attitude are more important than specific experience criteria.  If you have strong embedded software skills, you are a candidate for our team.
 

 

What you will learn and contribute to

Collaborate with product line managers to gather requirements and work with team members to create effective software designs that meet those requirements.   Develop, integrate, and unit test software features for NOKIA's Service Router Operating System.   Work alongside QA engineers to troubleshoot complex issues and identify the best possible resolutions after conducting root cause analysis.   Foster collaboration with other functional teams within the same product group.   Take full responsibility for a file/module, including handling new requirements, prioritizing work, maintaining quality, and providing support.   Mentor new developers, students, and interns.
