Overall Purpose\n

Focus on Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) cases in an effort to improve production layouts and processes with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating wastefulness, reducing costs, an ensuring quality standards are maintained. Promote positive changes and training at site. Support and contribute to the company Quality Policies and QMS.\n

Responsibilities\n

Client relationship & Business development\n\nPoint of contact for TRIGO AOI and engineering services within site\nEnsures client satisfaction and building of solid relationships\nEnsures clear and transparent communication with internal and external customers\n\n

Operations\n\nResponsible for engineering related costs and reports related to engineering missions to the customer\nExecutes assessments\/audits as per guidelines\nMonitors site engineering missions for proper documentation\/information\nMakes sure engineering tools and equipment are up-to-date, with accurate information\nSelect, test and deploy the appropriate AOI product(s) and configure it\/them to be installed\nBe Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Trigo in area of AOI (including hardware, Spark and associated equipment)\nDesign and implement LEAN practices (VSM, Continuous flow, Workplace organization 5S, Cycle time, takt time studies, Ergonomic, Define Waste, TPM program)\nLead Kaizen events to find potential improvement\nDevelop and implement work instructions and train team members\nDesign, redesign, and enhance work areas and layouts to be more ergo friendly, reduce repetitive motions and inefficient methods\nDemonstrates commitment to reduce the risk of workplace accidents\nMust comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies\n\n

Organization & management\n\nDemonstrate group and individual presentation skills; actively participate in meetings, including high level customer, supplier, and business leader meetings\nAssists\/monitors overall services provided within site on a daily basis \nDevelops\/trains site teams to assist with automation\/engineering service as related to missions\nPromotes workplace improvements and development\nResponsibility for projects quality, costs and planning targets as they related to engineering and AOI.\nWork closely with IT staff in regards to development, hardware and software.\n\n

Technical \n\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions\nEstablishes methods for maximum utilization of materials, production facilities and\/or personnel\n\n

Hard skills\n\n\n\n\n\nProficiency in English\nComputer skills - Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint\nStrong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing practices and problem solving methodologies\nStrong knowledge of AutoCAD ( a bonus is knowledge of Catia, SolidWorks, Fusion360, and OnShape)\nAbility to read and understand blueprints\nAbility to write comprehensive job instructions\nExperience with installing industrial lighting, optical inspection products, robotics, etc.\nLeadership skills to conduct workshops and drive continuous improvement\nExcellent problem-solving skills\nAbility to work effectively on a team or individually\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
