Overview Join Our Culinary Leadership Team as a Jr. Sous Chef at The Stateview Hotel, Marriott Autograph Collection. Interested in advancing your culinary career? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Jr Sous Chef to join the team at Marriott Autograph Collection's Stateview Hotel restaurant. This is your chance to showcase your skills, inspire excellence, and create unforgettable dining experiences for our guests. The candidate must also have excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to collaborate with other members of the culinary team. They must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable taking initiative. Provide support to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in the general operation of the kitchen. Overseeing the preparation of meals by a team of cooks, including checking food quality and cooking methods. Orienting new employees to the department and shift. Assuring high quality standards are met in the kitchen. Maintaining compliance with environmental health laws by completing documents. Relationship-building with managers and front-of-house teams in other areas of the business. Inventory management and stock control. Organizing produce and adhering to food hygiene regulations. Assisting in all aspects of food preparation. Qualifications Passionate and curious chef with culinary training and experience  Proven ability/experience to manage all stations on the line Must possess consistent and stable work experience & encompass the desire to operationally support the business as an individual experience and leader Well-versed and timely email etiquette as well as written and verbal communication  Strong communicator, collaborator, and motivator with the ability to build professional relationships with all leaders and the kitchen team Proactive team player who can work well independently as well as on a team Flexible schedule and ability to work morning, night, weekends, and holidays (as needed). Ability to multitask and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $23.00/Hr. - $25.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
