We are actively seeking a highly skilled delivery focused Systems Engineer to join our Collaboration and Productivity Technologies team. In this role, you will be involved in the architectural engineering, administration and maintenance of our suite of productivity systems including Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, Twiki, Office, Blackberry and Good for Enterprise. Your role will involve collaboration across technology and business teams to support these business critical systems and to work towards continued optimization and evolution to meet business needs.
You will also partner with these teams to provide technical solutions for both existing and emerging technologies within the collaboration and productivity space. Current projects include upgrading our Microsoft technologies from 2010 to 2013 and the expansion of our mobility environment. In this role, you will:
Administer and maintain SIG’s suite of collaboration technologies including Exchange 2010, SharePoint 2010, Lync 2010, Twiki, Office 2010, Blackberry and Good for Enterprise to meet and maintain appropriate service levelsFoster collaboration with the lines of business (LOB) solution teams to gain an understanding of business objectives and requirementsCollaborate and partner with architects, software engineers, and technicians to support this environment and introduce automation where applicableWork with partners, vendors and management to support product evaluations and proof of concept activities.Assist in the definition, development and implementation of best practice engineering principles as they relate to productivity and collaboration systemsEvaluate usage patterns, performance metrics, test results, and recommendationsSupport and administer plans that include but are not limited to the optimization or implementation of productivity and collaboration solutions across SIG’s enterprise environmentParticipate in a team support rotation schedule
What we're looking for
Minimum of 3 years of Systems Administration and deployment experience in Windows Server 2008 / Windows 7 or later requiredBachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related technical field required; experience may substitute for educationExperience supporting solutions utilizing Microsoft collaboration suite including Office, Exchange, Lync and/or SharePoint requiredProven ability to share basic knowledge of Microsoft collaboration suite technologies to less experienced users as well as provide direction/consultation to those with advanced knowledge of the platform requiredAbility to automate tasks utilizing PowerShell scripting strongly preferred
Must have experience supporting various internet browsers and web applicationsExperience in mobility supporting a BYOD environment strongly preferred
