We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, performing three-way match verifications, assisting with accounts receivable, and supporting general accounting duties. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
+ Receive, review, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
+ Ensure all invoices are coded correctly and have the necessary approvals.
+ Enter invoice data into the accounting system.
+ Perform three-way match verifications between purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor invoices.
+ Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
+ Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues.
+ Assist with the preparation and processing of customer invoices.
+ Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables.
+ Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
+ Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions.
+ Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
+ Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
+ Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and efficiency.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
+ Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Work Environment
This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. You will work closely with the controller and other team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
