Job Title: Junior Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team (6 month contract-to-hire). The ideal candidate will have a degree related to accounting and have experience in Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities
+ Perform accounts payable tasks and match vendor invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documents (3-way match).
+ Prepare and post journal entries, as well as forecast weekly reports and AP aging reports.
+ Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
+ Support the accounting team with month-end close and prepare month-end vendor accruals.
+ Process electronic and manual payments for vendors based on terms.
+ Understand cash flow, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
+ Prepare daily cash reports, process vouchers, checks, ACH payments, and wires.
+ Implement strategic initiatives to improve cash flow.
+ Manage a medium volume of invoices.
Essential Skills
+ Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
+ 2+ years of accounts payable experience (3-way match, purchase invoices).
+ Experience in the manufacturing industry.
+ Proficiency in Excel, accounting, accounts payable, and invoicing.
+ Strong data entry and analytical skills.
+ Excellent time management and communication skills.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment.
+ Experience with MS Office, MS Outlook, and ERP systems.
+ Strong team player.
