Job Description
The Junior Accountant is responsible for processing all daily receipts related to customers' payments and monitoring the accounts receivable schedule on a weekly basis, including customer and general ledger account reconciliations. This position performs a range of general bookkeeping and accounting support functions for the department.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post daily deposits Process credit card payments, virtual check payments, wire payments, and ACH paymentsCreate invoices and credit notes for customers and prepare monthly statementsManage accounts receivable and collect payment for overdue invoicesCreate daily deposits and coordinate internal and external RMAsInvestigate and resolve customer queriesWork closely with Customer Service and Commercial departments for account paymentsAct as a backup for Accounts Payable as neededRecord and store deposits paperworkOther duties as assigned by managementEssential SkillsBS/BA required in a related field2+ years’ experience in accounting, including GL, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts PayableProficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, V Lookups)ERP experience, with a preference for SageCredit and collections experienceStrong knowledge of general accounting principlesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong time-management skills and attention to detailAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to multitask while maintaining accuracy in preparing and entering financial informationPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00
