What you’ll do

 

We’re looking for a motivated developer who wants to embark on an exciting journey to create, maintain & support high quality core technology components with care and attention to detail. We follow agile software engineering methods and are always in close contact with our customers and stakeholders to acquire early feedback and support them in their mission-critical implementations around the world.

 

The ABAP Kernel Brno team is responsible for key infrastructure components delivered with the ABAP Kernel which are required to efficiently operate and monitor the ABAP platform, e.g., in a cloud environment. The team consists of highly motivated developers located in our labs in Brno and works closely with the teams in Walldorf (Germany).

 

You will be part of a diverse and agile scrum team, collaborating with passionate and engaged co-developers. Your involvement will span the complete product life cycle, taking responsibility for the components you work on, ensuring they align with our quality standards and objectives.

 

In this position, you will work with the SOAP Web Services Framework within ABAP onPrem and ABAP Cloud Environment. You'll delve into the intricacies of the ABAP SOAP runtime, which relies on official standards like SOAP 1.1, SOAP 1.2, and WS-RM. The maintenance and improvement of tools for monitoring and the lifecycle management of (asynchronous) SOAP messages will be part of you daily work. Furthermore, you will contribute to the ABAP proxy framework and their runtime configuration.

 

What you bring

University degree in computer science, natural sciences, engineering, or similar Knowledge in an object-oriented programming language  A sense for mastering complexity: Abstract and analytical thinking plus structuring and problem-solving skills Team spirit: Work collaboratively with open and trustful communication Fluency in Czech and English – written and verbal Readiness to work 3 times per week in the Brno office

 

Beneficial skills

First experience with ABAP, GO or Java Script (ex. Node.js framework) First experience with SQL and databases SOAP protocol knowledge
