Junior Business Developer - Pharmaceutical Raw Materials
Minimum requirements for the role:
A tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential. Previous experience having worked within a sales role supplying chemical raw materials into the pharmaceutical manufacturing or nutraceutical industry is essential for the role. The company is also happy to look at an internal salesperson or a junior pharmacist for the role who wants to move into an external sales role. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Maintaining strong relationships with existing key accounts within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry on a national basis. Promoting chemical raw materials into the pharmaceutical manufacturing markets as well as identifying and developing potential business opportunities on a national basis. Attending regular feedback sessions on various projects and managing customer expectations. Managing price negotiations and various products with customers relaying market information to management and suppliers in order to be competitive in the current South African economic conditions. Setting and driving budget targets and sales objectives. Identifying new potential customers and businesses as well as ensuring the business is gained for the purpose of volume growth per product. Presenting sales reports to senior management. Implementing customer retention strategies to develop and manage sustainable quality relationships with external customers. Managing forecasting for stock availability for customers. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
