**Description**
Perform procurement and storeroom support functionsat the Macon Paperboard Manufacturing Facility, Macon, GAto secure goods and services for the facility in accordance with purchasing policy and delegated authority so as to maximize total value received and produce results that contributeto the meeting of the facility’s business objectives. The position reports to the Procurement Manager and will be located at the Macon Mill.
**Key Responsibilities:** _include but are not limited to the following._
+ Provide safety leadership through modeling of safe behaviors and to ensure employee adherence to all mill safety requirements and expectations
+ Provide prompt and professional purchasing services to internal customers by communicating effectively with the Operations, Engineering, Finance and Maintenance
+ Support a shared responsibility for capital projects through the procurement process and contract execution and adherence
+ Actively participate in the development and execution of site-specific plans to ensure successful implementation of Global Manufacturing Systems
+ Demonstrate knowledge of purchasing and storeroom SAP functions including po creation, expediting, problem solving,facilitate and manage vendor updates and work with MRP group to ensure timely purchase and delivery of all stores items
+ Promptly handle requisitions to ensure stable supply and timely availability of materials and service and follow up with vendors regarding order status
+ Deliver value to the mill through effective procurement activities as well as ensuring implementation and adherence of Sourcing agreements
+ Prepare and publish specifications for bids, prepare and evaluate bid responses, verify history of supplier service and ability to meet contract specifications, and negotiate contracts
+ Develop an effective supplier base by cultivating supplier relationships through reviews of operations and mutually beneficial programs
+ Implementation of Sourcing Agreements andstrategies for purchasing and materials management processes
+ Obtain maximum value regarding cost, quality, delivery, and service levels thru methods such as negotiation
+ Support Corporate and Regional MRO agreements consistent with Corporate and P2P direction
+ Track and report supplier performance and escalate supplier issues as appropriate
+ Assist with reconciliation of invoices
+ Pursue opportunities to consolidate purchases and competitively source materials under local, regional, and national contracts
+ Provide backup and vacation relief to the Purchasing Manager and other team members
+ Ensure adherence to Graphic Packaging Corporate financial and purchasing policies and procedures
+ Update contractor qualifications and assure compliance prior to issuance of a purchase order
+ Protect the Division from undesirable legal actions deriving from buyer/supplier relations by recognizing legal implication in any situation and consult with legal counsel as needed. Enforce Legal Department’s policy directives.
+ Support other departmental requirements/functions as directed.
**Working Conditions**
+ Must be able to wear all required personal safety equipment including but not limited to eye protection, hearing protection, and fall protection in elevated positions
+ Will be required to work extended hours as needed
+ Must be available to provide after hours, weekend, and holiday call, will be based on rotating schedule.

**Knowledge And Experience:**
+ Minimum of 1 year experience including bidding, negotiating, and administering contracts and agreements
+ Pulp and Paper Mill experience preferred. Industrial/manufacturing experience required.
+ Effective Written & Verbal Communication Skills
+ Proficient in Computer Use
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, and Outlook
+ SAP Business Software Knowledge Preferred
**Education** **:** BA or BS degree is required and 3+ years of experience.

**Pay Range:** **$57,475.00** **-** **$76,570.00**
