Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking a Junior Competitive Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic Business Development team, to assist with developing price and cost models for proposal submissions. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing competitor pricing matched with market expectations to determine the ideal target price for information technology based professional services. You'll be working with complex data examining industry standards and pricing strategies of competitors to help the company to identify and set competitive prices. You'll study consumer habits to determine how much people are willing to pay for various services and look for patterns in Government customer spending. The candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changing priorities and needs, and will be supporting Capture Managers, Proposal Managers, and Executives. Must be highly organized, attentive to detail, comfortable supporting multiple simultaneous assignments, deliver measurable results on a daily basis, and be able to work independently in a remote work environment as needed.
Candidates for this position must be eligible to attain a DoD Secret Clearance. The candidate must be based from and work at our Chesapeake, VA office location.

Responsibilities:Work with the Business Development team to do market analysis by participating in financial and cost reviews for proposal staffing models and providing guidance to the Business Development team to facilitate a better understanding of the associated financial and cost impactsProvide pricing support for specific proposals by performing and supporting Competitor Analysis, Indirect Rate Analysis, and Price-to-Win, as well as building and updating pricing model for proposalsLead the creation and analysis of relevant information and develop recommendations that they present to Senior ManagementDevelop pricing for proposal submissions by working closely with Capture Managers, Proposal Managers, and ExecutivesMaintain pricing files to include required supporting documentationPerforms cost analysis and estimates for complex proposal efforts, consistent with company policies, and RFI/RFQ/RFP/Solicitation requirementsWorks as an integral part of the Capture/Proposal team, assisting in the development of pricing strategies, identifying risks, and interpreting solicitation requirementsPerforms detailed pricing labor category pricing analysis and salary survey researchMaintains current knowledge of the competitive environmentPerform reviews of proposals priced by other pricing analysts for quality assurance purposesBasic Qualifications:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Mathematics or EnglishAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret ClearanceLive local to our Chesapeake, VA office location1+ year’s experience supporting research or analysis1+ years’ of corporate customer service and supporting project management1+ years’ performing marketing and grant research, or web research and analysis1+ years’ of web portal navigation, queries, interpreting qualitative and quantitative data1+ years’ Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)1+ years’ Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, and Gmail)1+ years monitoring and interpreting industry statistics and trade literaturePreferred Qualifications:2+ years assessing the competition strength, weaknesses, pricing, their offerings, unique strengths that we need to offset2+ years conducting competitive analysis, gathering competitive intelligence1+ years of writing experience related to software development, technical writing or project management1+ years of proposal development experience related to software or enterprise technical solution for the Federal market1+ years capture, business development or proposal development experience in the Federal sector1+ years demonstrated professional writing skills using proven tools and established methodsThe compensation for this position: $22.50 per hour
