About the Role

New opportunity within our large Engineering organization for a Test Engineer as part of a new opening position in Connectivity Test Center. This role will be part of a new team based in Bucharest which will work closely with the wider team. This is a newly formed team. Our goal is to build out our Connectivity Test Coordinating team operating from our strategic site in Bucharest providing experienced and dynamic team members to support multiple roles across our portfolio of global projects. This is an extremely exciting time to get involved, to help develop and shape innovative technology and drive change throughout the organization.


What You Will Do

Review software specifications and testing proceduresCreate, update and review test scriptsExecute automated test casesCreate and update documentation for the testing proceduresCreate detailed reports of the executed test casesAnalyze error logs to help identify the root cause of a failureFollow bug reporting and tracking processFollow the industry and project standards in relation to the development processesAct according to the standards of the Automotive industry and in-car applicationsIdentify software issues and transfers problem issues into the issue tracking system with supporting log files and data.Record, process, and analyze data with PC-based tools and test instrumentation.Participate in internal and customer test drives. Provide technical support for the resolution of various customer and interdepartmental issues on an as-needed basis.

What You Need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other similar specializationGood programming knowledge in Python (1+ years of experience)Good analytical skills to understand, evaluate and provide solution for given complex scenarios and case studies.Hands on experience with any market available test frameworks or customer proprietary test frameworkVersion Control Systems experience (preferably Git)Hands on experience in code development, debugging, troubleshooting.Good understanding of Embedded System and Automotive Products.Understand the SW and HW architecture of various platform variants.Good knowledge and understanding of the different Telematics domains like OTA, GNSS, E-Call, Positioning, 4G/5G, Wifi, V2X, Remote Services, SecurityGood experience in test methods, processes, error management and tools.Knowledge of standard industry communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet etcTeam player skills with a “can do” attitude.Understanding about diagnosis topics of a vehicle and about diagnostic communication protocols used in electronic control units.Knowledge of the V-model software development process

What is Nice to Have

ISTQB Certification and ASPICE knowledgeKnowledge in Python framework like Robot or pychampAutomation / engineering domain script development (hands on) experience with PythonKnowledge with repository software’s like Jira, IBM toolsExperience in Agile/SCRUMHW experience with configuration different setupsKnowledge in ALM is beneficial.
