Entry-Level Controls Engineer Location: San Diego, CA Industry: Biotechnology We are seeking a motivated and talented Entry-Level Controls Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in San Diego. Position Overview: As an Entry-Level Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for our sequencing devices. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety. Key Responsibilities: + Assist in the design and development of control systems for products. + Program and configure Siemens and Beckhoff PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). + Collaborate with senior engineers to develop control algorithms and software. + Conduct testing and debugging of control systems to ensure functionality and performance. + Participate in the integration of control systems with other hardware and software components. + Document control system designs, software, and test procedures. + Support the troubleshooting and maintenance of existing control systems. + Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in control technologies. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field. + Basic knowledge of Siemens and Beckhoff PLC programming. + Familiarity with control system design and development. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. + Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. + Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of control engineering. Preferred Skills: + Experience with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) development. + Biotechnology or medical device experience + Knowledge of other PLC programming languages and platforms.
