Job SummaryBattelle’s Cyber Solutions Department is seeking Junior Data Scientist to work at a customer site in the Washington Metro Area.

Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or similar) with 2 years’ experience, Master’s degree or PhD in related field; or equivalent related work experience Demonstrated experience developing in PythonExperience in machine learning, deep learning, statistics and/or data mining techniquesExperience with NLP algorithmsExperience with or understanding of relational databases, SQLExcitement about learning new technical subject areas and curiosity about cyber security and big data problemsActive TS/SCI with an IC Green Badge
Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in STEM field (e.g., Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or similar) or related work experienceFamiliarity with shell scripting languages like bash, zsh, or cshExperience with large data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, Apache NiFiExperience with containerization technology such as DockerFamiliarity with graph algorithmsExperience working with large structured and unstructured dataFamiliarity with cloud computing and associated service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
