Job Description

As a Hardware Engineer, you will provide electronics technical expertise in various areas relating to the design, production, and sustainment of electronic products.

ResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise for component-related issues, including alternate component selection for obsolescence issues and assisting with process issues.Guide technicians with the testing and debugging of products.Design for EMI/EMC compliance.Provide technical reports and communications to team members.Redesign PCBA components considering value engineering.Familiarize with PCBA components and market commodities to identify standard parts and assess material suitability.Reduce material costs.Essential SkillsFour-year degree in electrical/electronic engineering or demonstrated equivalent experience.Minimum of 1 year of experience related to electronics design at the PCB level.Ability to understand PCB component-level schematics.Proficiency in using standard test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes to troubleshoot PCBs to the component level.Understanding of application and critical characteristics of typical electronics components including resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, digital logic microcontrollers and processors, linear and switching regulators, ADCs, etc.Good written and verbal communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsEmbedded systems hardware design experience.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Experience in automotive type electronics.Work Environment

Work primarily in a cubicle setting with some time required in electronics labs. This is an opportunity to establish a career in the beautiful Winona area.
