Owned by FOX Corporation, FOX News Media reaches 200 million people each month.JOB DESCRIPTIONFOX News Media is looking for a curious, detail-oriented and results-driven Junior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team in New York City. As the Jr. Financial Analyst, you will analyze and report the weekly, monthly and annual performance of FOX News Media and its business units. The Junior Financial Analyst also may take ownership of cost and revenue budgets across specific departments, which you will run as if they were each a small business. Throughout, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across finance, operations and management as we strive to meet our business goals.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Budget and forecast revenues and expenses for various businesses and/or departments
Analyze financial performance across divisions and FNM
Create insightful reports for management
Book journal entries and estimates
Execute month-end close activities, including variance analysis, to ensure timely delivery of financial results
Handle day-to-day requests that require financial approval
Work with operating divisions to manage costs
Perform some accounts payable duties such as reviewing and reconciling invoices, code documents to G/L accounts, processing expense reports, and other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
0-1 years of experience in a related field
Familiarity with Finance and Accounting topics and language
A strong desire to learn about the Media industry and FOX businesses
A team-oriented mentality paired with the ability to work independently
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT MANDATORY
An exceptional academic track record
Prior internship/experience in Corporate Finance or Accounting
A degree in Finance or Accounting
Familiarity with databases and/or financial systems (e.g., Workday, Adaptive, Coupa)

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $55,500.00-65,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $46,200.00-54,100.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
