Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a highly motivated Junior FME Software Reverse Engineer to join our growing Exploitation, Test and Analysis team! If you have a passion for reverse engineering and a background in electrical engineering, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing:
Conduct reverse engineering of foreign materiel to understand embedded software and hardware systems.
Analyze and deconstruct software to identify vulnerabilities, functionality, and design.
Utilize reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, and OllyDbg to dissect and analyze software.
Work with assembly languages (x86, ARM, DSPs) to understand and manipulate low-level code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive reports and documentation of findings.
Participate in the software development process to ensure secure and efficient integration of reverse-engineered components.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in reverse engineering techniques and tools.
Required Clearance:
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Candidate must possess an ACTIVE SECRET clearance and be willing and able to obtain/maintain a DoD TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering, with 0+ years of related experience.
Proven experience in embedded software and embedded hardware.
Strong understanding of the software development process.
Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, and Python.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
DoD TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance
Proficiency in assembly languages (x86, ARM, DSPs).
Hands-on experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, and OllyDbg.
Experience supporting the intelligence community, particularly on foreign material exploitation or software reverse engineering efforts
Experience/understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, RTOS, Embedded, etc.)
Experience with/understanding of ground-to-air missile systems and subsystems, radar, RF communications, etc.
Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
