Tetra Tech is currently seeking a full-time, highly talented, motivated, and customer-oriented GIS, Database, and Applications specialist for our Denver, CO office. 

You will provide technical support on a variety of projects and programs, including support for federal, state, and local government contracts, as well as commercial clients. 

This position involves but is not limited to: 
•    Work directly with clients to establish and document requirements and develop applications using COTS tools and/or customized solutions
•    Review existing practices for data collection and management
•    Identify targets for improvement
•    Use advanced data management tools to automate repetitive processes and improve data quality and visualization products
•    Modify existing systems based on changing technologies and client needs.  

Secondary functions may include 
•    Occasional travel for field work on projects sites
•    Assist project managers and field staff with environmental sampling and assessment activities in support of environmental investigation and/or emergency response activities.

Responsibilities may also include training presentations, preparation of standard operating procedures, and other consulting activities.

Qualifications

This position requires GIS and web-based mapping application development skills as well as working knowledge of SQL Server and other relational database systems.  The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years’ related experience. You will also have: 


•    Introductory to intermediate level experience as a GIS web application developer for ArcGIS Enterprise, including the use of Web App Builder, Portal with languages and API's currently supported by ESRI including REST Services, Python, HTML, CSS, JSON, and Javascript.

•    Demonstrated experience using ESRI ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server 10.8 or higher (Experience Builder, Story Map, Field Maps, Survey123), as well as geodatabase design and management skills is preferred. 

In addition, this position requires:
•    Criminal background check


Value Added / Plus (not required)
•    Experience with Office365 cloud-based environments and applications with a focus on collaborative tools and workflow automation; including MS Access, MS SharePoint tools, JavaScript, Python, and Make (formerly Integromat). 

•    Database skills (e.g. Microsoft Access and SQL Server), a working knowledge of SQL, and experience using ESRIs ArcGIS on-line web-based GIS environment. 

•    Developing digital data collection tools is useful and a plus, including ESRI's Survey123, QuickCapture, Collector, and Workforce, and Microsoft Forms, PowerApps, etc.

•    Software development experience (e.g. C++, C#, asp.net, etc.), as well as data analysis/task automation experience (e.g. Python, ArcPy, R, VBA, etc.). 

Degree / Certifications
•    B.A/B.S. in IT, GIS, Engineering, or related degree (Science / Engineering) required.  
•    ICS or other related training is desirable.   

Work Environment
This position is located in Denver, CO. There is potential for teleworking from a location within 2 hours ground commute from Denver. You must live within 2 hours of Denver, CO in order to be considered for telework.  Telework is at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice. 

You must be able to:
•    Travel.  Requires occasional work on environmental cleanup sites and emergency operations center (EOC), as well as in a mobile command post (MCP).  
•    Bend, kneel, stand.
•    Lift and carry objects weighing up to 40lbs. 
•    Work outdoors in all weather conditions, both hot and cold. 
•    Walk and stand on various, uneven terrain in all weather conditions. 
•    Wear full-face respirator and complete annual medical monitoring program, including pulmonary function testing.
•    May require some evening and weekend work.
•    Drive on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record is required.


The Salary Range for this position is $55,000 - $63,000 depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
