As a Junior hardware engineer, you actively participate in developing solutions for harbor cranes. With every project, we first need to focus on the hardware. This means you will realize the hardware designs from our crane products and maintain our hardware library at an excellent industry standard. You start in a small dedicated team of four hardware engineers and collaborate closely with colleagues in the Cranes department in the Netherlands and Germany: engineering, sales, and project management.
You will be responsible forContributing to project designs in cooperation with the responsible design engineer, such as:Supporting the system or solution designer in realizing detailed technical solutionsIndependently taking over subtasksThe detail engineering of projectsWorking together with specialists such as the network team and the software teamTracking, detailing, and reporting progress regularlyParticipating in our lean approach to project engineering by identifying work optimization opportunities.

We also ask:A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (preferably with a specialization drive technology and automation)One year experience of working in a technical environment, in the engineering teamPreferably profound knowledge and experience of E-plan P8.Basic technical knowledge of engineering of low voltage distribution panels, making multiline diagrams based onto prepared single line diagrams, Cabinet layouts, terminations, terminal numbering, dimensioning of electrical circuits, such as wire sizing and PLC I/O slaves integration, defining and connections.Fluency in English and Dutch is also very welcome.
