Description We are a company in the banking industry, located in the United States. We're offering an opportunity for an Entry Level Java Developer - Service Layer Focused to join our team. This role primarily involves working on service layer development with some exposure to front-end development. This is a contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities • Work on the service layer, ensuring defined performance and reliability standards are met. • Develop the front-end using JavaScript and Angular. • Use Java 8 for various development tasks. • Contribute to the integration of a new Letters of Credit system with our Member Portal. • Utilize SQL for data management tasks. • Employ Agile Scrum methodologies for project management. • Use bug tracking tools to manage and resolve issues. • Contribute to the service design and service delivery aspects of projects. • Develop and maintain the service catalog. • Use SQL Code for advanced data management tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Banking industry • Proven expertise in Java Development, particularly focused on the Service Layer • Demonstrable skills in Agile Scrum methodologies • Experience with Bug Tracking tools and techniques • Knowledge of Service Catalog, Service Delivery, and Service Design principles • Proficiency in SQL, including SQL Code and Structured Query Language • Familiarity with JavaScript and Angular frameworks • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
