We are searching for an ambitious Junior Legal Associate to join our growing team based at our Sandton offices Presently our legal counsel is outsourced to independent law firms and we are looking for an individual to join the team in a permanent position with opportunities for growth and development within the company The ideal candidate would be one with strong research analytical and drafting skills as well as the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Duties and Responsibilities
Compiling and drafting legal documents including contracts agreements and due diligence reports &ndash employment and commercial agreements
Strong understanding of labour laws in SA
Draft and preparation of NDAs
Assisting our external counsel with corporate commercial and M&A transactions
Conducting legal research and providing advice in various legal matters when needed
Attending internal and external meetings and participating in negotiations
Collaborating with other team members and providing support as needed
Requirements
2 to 3 years work related experience is required
Must have an LLB degree & admission as an Attorney in South Africa
Must have strong research analytical and drafting skills
Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment
HR experience with understanding of employment equity laws would be an added advantage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Office
Proactive and able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Salary Market related
