Junior Payroll Assistant
A payroll assistant provides administrative support in the payroll department. As a payroll assistant, your duties include entering payroll data and processing new hire paperwork. You will also be responsible for other HR related functions within the Department.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monthly payroll capture which includes variable earnings, pro-rata earnings, monthly deductions Processing of staff movements (new engagements, promotions, terminations) Linking employees to the necessary benefits (Provident fund and medical aid) Ensure that all employees leave forms for annual/sick/family responsibility as well as unpaid leave are accurately captured and maintained on file Ensure statutory deductions and 3rd party payments are correctly balanced and processed Printing and distributing payslips All Payroll Tax related SARS queries MIBCO online returns Preparation of monthly Headcount Issuing and distributing of IRP5’s Creating employee files and keeping cabinets neat and orderly. Accurate filing of HR/Payroll documents Preparing and keeping company organogram (along with photographs) up to date Process employee’s payroll requests and provide relevant information Department stationery orders Assist HR Manager and Payroll Supervisor with various batch document printing, such as: envelopes Assist with the co-ordination or co-ordinate HR projects, wellness days, meetings, and training Assist with all MIBCO, BCEA, and all other payroll compliance audits Shredding and archiving Switchboard relief Assisting with HR Audit every two years Assisting with any Ad-hoc duties Assist with the Social Club. Ensuring that stock is rotated, that is does not expire, that it is clean and following up that stock gets ordered timeously Assisting with the ordering, packing and distribution of long service awards annually SKILLS:

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to use logic and problem-solving skills to resolve issues
Good organisational, time management and multitasking skills
Honest and trustworthy - to handle all information with the utmost respect for confidentiality
Excellent ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing in English
Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Maintains employee confidence and protects HR & Payroll operations by keeping information confidential
Payspace experience beneficial
MIBCO experience beneficial
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 
Grade 12 (Essential) Minimum 3 years Payroll experience Code 08 Drivers license and own transport
