We’re currently recruiting for roles in our Security Operations Centre for a Junior Reporting Analyst. Reporting Analysts in SilverSky are crucial in analyzing customer tickets, trends, and data to provide actionable insights that customers and partners receive monthly, quarterly or bi-annual. The best candidates are inquisitive, eager to learn, and possess great interpersonal skills.

The role is based upon a 9am-5pm shift, supporting our Global SOC customers.

 

What you’ll be doing: Data collecting and analysing of tickets, trends, customer feedback, and behavior pattern data. Researching emerging threats for industry-specific risks and challenges. Creating comprehensive reports and presentations with summarized findings to provide valuable insights. Holding monthly, quarterly, or bi-annual meetings with customers to provide Assisting the SOC and customers on potential ongoing security incidents. Working with internal partner teams with customer outcomes at the center.

 

What does it take to succeed in this role? Willingness to learn new skills and proactively drive self-education. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and present findings/recommendations to different customers/stakeholders. Analytical and critical thinking skills to dissect data and draw meaningful conclusions. Familiarity with networking concepts & protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, etc.). Basic understanding of Operating System fundamentals (Windows or Linux). Understanding of fundamental cyber security concepts, such as types of cyber-attacks and why attackers perform them. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

What are the desirables? 0-2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or related role. Experience creating PowerPoint templates and data spreadsheets. Previous experience with other security detection technologies such as firewalls, IDS or log management (Splunk, etc). Prior experience with Jira, Confluence or other ticketing platforms.
