Junior Research Scientist (PI: Dr. Juhee Jeong)
New York University College of Dentistry is seeking a full-time Junior Research Scientist in the laboratory of Juhee Jeong within the Department of Molecular Pathobiology. They will work on projects investigating molecular genetic mechanisms behind embryonic development and birth defects using mice and stem cells. They will perform basic molecular biology and cell biology tasks, such as PCR, DNA preparation, gel electrophoresis, cell culture, and transfection. They will also learn techniques in developmental biology research such as dissection, tissue sectioning, and staining. NYU offers excellent benefits. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $45,000 - $58,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. Qualified applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology. The candidate should have experience of working in a laboratory, and proficiency in molecular biology techniques and in vitro cell culture is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
