Junior Researcher - Development & Application (M/F/X)

About the role:

Our Development & Application team, composed of 7 people and integrated into the Research & Innovation department, focuses on market development through new applications and/or new products, working closely with the Commercial and Marketing teams. As a Junior Researcher, you will work on innovation projects, market development initiatives, and technical support activities to help the business. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the production of essential chemicals and make a positive impact on the community and the world for generations to come. You will be responsible for: Defining, supervising, and/or conducting experiments and studies related to projects, critically analyzing and reviewing results, according to Solvay's project management requirements and procedures. Continuously reporting progress, successes, challenges, and results to the manager, as well as sharing validated technical information and results with various stakeholders (such as leadership, project team, etc.), ensuring proper knowledge management and Intellectual Property protection. Guiding interns, assistants, and/or colleagues in the lab, providing necessary technical support. Actively participating in the scientific community and monitoring new technologies to enhance the team’s knowledge of relevant scientific and technological information, both locally and globally with other Research & Innovation groups. Carrying out activities according to the area’s documents (Analysis Procedures, Equipment Operation Procedures, etc.), proposing improvements and/or highlighting the need for new documents. Supporting Quality Management System audits and the current Responsible Care Program, as well as total commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental rules. We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid work model (4:1).

 

About you

Relevant education or equivalent degree in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry. Relevant work experience in key applications of solvents, phenol, and derivatives. Competencies: Organic Chemistry Analytical Chemistry Formulation development and stability testing Various application tests Behaviors: Organization Creativity Collaboration Initiative

 

About the pay and benefits

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country base pay reasonably expected for this role is R$ 108.000,00 to R$ 135.000,00  (Annual Base Salary with Periculosidade and 13º already included), your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
