About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior software Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and grow within the software and mobile development field. You will be working on maintaining and enhancing our existing mobile applications while also starting contributing to the development of a new, modernized version of the app.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Software Developer to join our dynamic team in Vaasa, Finland.
You’ll be responsible for:
Maintaining and enhance the existing mobile applications built in Java (Android) and Objective-C (iOS).
Collaborating with senior developers and the team to design and develop new features, improve the user experience and maintain existing software applications.
Working closely with product managers, developers, and testers to ensure high-quality deliverables and plans
Providing L3 support for the existing application as needed.
Participating in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
Participating in the migration of functionalities from the existing application to the modernized app version.
Utilizing version control practices, particularly Git, to manage and track code changes.
Adapting quickly to new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
The team consists of 20 members, including developers, testers, and 3 product managers based in several countries (Finland, UK, India, Portugal)
Key Projects:
Existing Application: A mature app with a huge volume of users worldwide, requiring maintenance and enhancement to support business strategies.
New Application: Modernizing the existing app
Technical Skills needed:
knowledge of Java /Android and/or Objective-C
Understanding or interest of mobile development principles.
Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
Qualifications:
Recent graduate or up to 1-2 years of experience in software / web / mobile development.
Excellent communication skills (English mandatory written and spoken) and teamwork abilities.
Enthusiasm for learning and growing in the mobile development field.
You are curious, adaptable, enthusiast to learn
Residency in Finland is required.
