**Description** SAIC is seeking a **Junior Software Engineer** to support a contract, with the primary work location in **Reston, VA** . Note: This position will be mainly onsite at our location in Reston, VA. **JOB DESCRIPTION** : + Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software. + Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. + End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software. + Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs. + Ensures software standards are met. **JOB DUTIES** : + Develop, maintain, and test web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript .NET Framework, and SQL Server. Conduct analysis and collaborate with subject matter experts in relevant business areas. + Assist with modernization of applications to utilize emerging technologies such as .NET Core, Angular, and Docker. Work with DevOps engineers to maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines. + Plan and track progress on development work within Agile processes using GitLab. + Write software documentation covering system specifications, technical requirements and capabilities. + Ensures software standards are met by participating in code reviews, retrospectives, and by implementing tests. **Qualifications** **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE** : + Bachelor’s degree and one (1+) year or more of relevant development experience. + Experience in Software Development to include the following: + C#, ES6 JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS, SQL. + Experience in Software Version Control, Software Configuration Management (Team Foundation Server or GitLab), and Microsoft SQL Server. + Must be a U.S. Citizen with at least an Interim Secret security clearance to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. + Required Certification: Must be able to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification within 12 months (1 year).
