What are your responsibilities as Junior Product Software Engineer?
You will immediately get exposure to a variety of technologies, development teams, tools, and processes. As a part of a Scrum team, under the guidance of senior team members, you will participate in the software creation, the estimation of the development time, the development itself and the integration stages.
Our core software engineering department is based in Lucca where all the teams are working closely together in developing our products for our major industries such as banking, insurance, automotive and food and beverage. Every team consists of a QA engineer and 5/6 software engineers. We strongly believe in the Agile way of working and the Scrum methodology has really been embedded in our daily work. We leverage teamwork, self-organization and proactivity as the best solution comes from collective intelligence and collaborative decision making.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the team to develop, maintain, enhance, and extend features of the product.
Contribute to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve product software issues working with Customer Support, other development teams, and Product Management.
Leverage your self-starter instincts and capabilities to become an active member of the team.
Leverage learning opportunities to remain up-to-date with software development technology evolution.
You have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar disciplines.
Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
Analytical and debugging skills, with attention to detail.
Good knowledge of at least one Object Oriented programming language, including but not limited to: Java, Javascript, C#.
Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English.
It is better if you also have knowledge of the following:
Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Angular, React.
Relational and NoSQL databases.
SDLC tools like Jira, GIT, IntelliJ, Maven.
API design and REST principles.
Unit Testing.
