Junior Software Engineer KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. Responsibilities + Proactively identify and resolve challenging issues in a variety of software applications + Assist with system configuration, deployments, and control processes + Interact with other software developers and teams across a multidisciplinary set of software development efforts + Develop software for both front end and back end systems + Build reusable components and software library to share code amongst various projects Qualifications Required: + Willingness to quickly pick up new technologies + Strong oral and written communication skills + Experience with Java or JavaScript + Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other software development-related degree + Ability to obtain Secret and/or TS/SCI clearance Preferred: + Familiarity with CI/CD tools and modern build technologies + Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. + Experience with RESTful APIs Work Environment: + Location: Hybrid, local to Dayton, OH area + Travel Requirements: minimal, up to 15% + Working Hours: Standard 40 hours per week.
