Our client, Environmental consultants in Cape Town are currently seeking the skills of a Junior Sustainable Design Consultant

 

Main job function

 

Managing the allocated Project Portfolio, including:

Project management Quality control Meeting deadlines Managing deliverables Ensuring Client satisfaction Preparation of fee proposals

Managing the allocated rationale design portfolio, including:

Quality control Meeting deadlines Managing deliverables Ensuring Client satisfaction

Assisting with the development of a rationale design service business unit

Assistance with the development of operational systems and processes to continually improve the efficiency of the above-mentioned services

Development of new product offerings from the Green Building Services Team for the Company

Assistance with Client recruitment, development and maintaining and enhancing Client relations for the Company

Assistance with Project recruitment and development for the Company

Assist with developing and implementing Training Programmes

Public Speaking

Assistance with strengthening existing partnerships and development of new strategic partnerships, respectively

Strengthening and improving brand presence of the Company

Administration and general logistical support to the Company.

Qualifications

 

Post graduate science or BSc/BEng Engineering degree in environmental or similar field

 

Criteria

 

1 year private sector experience across green building sector

Critical thinking skills

Obsessive attention to detail

Good project management skills

Good people skills

Exemplary work ethic

Not afraid to muck in to get the job done

The ability to push through to an end goal / outcome even if the landscape of the project changes

The ability to take instruction and act on this precisely and to deadlines

The ability to perform the role of a wingman or a project leader as and when the project needs require this

Experience on previous certifications (green star, living building, EDGE, net zero etc.) will be advantageous

Certified as a Green Star AP is a must
