Junior Technical Document Editor
Amentum is seeking a Technical Document Editor to join our team providing writing, editing and managing of technical documentation in support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, VA. **Junior Technical Document Editor Responsibilities Include:** + Being responsible for the technical editing of technical products including test reports, installation certifications, analyses, reports, and other contract CDRLs. + Supporting Programmatic and Group Lead Management, client, and engineering staff in developing a broad range of written products and deliverables in support of Amentum leadership and client stakeholders. + Applying our in-house technical writing standards and processes to edit, maintain, format, and distribute technical work products with stringent daily, weekly, and monthly delivery schedules using a variety of software applications and dissemination platforms. + Having an expertise in grammar, punctuation, and copy editing to identify and resolve editorial issues and inconsistencies within voluminous and complex text, graphics, and appendices. + Managing multiple tech editing projects concurrently and efficiently; adheres to production timelines; ensure the delivery of high-quality products on or before deadline. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Two (2) years of experience in writing, editing, and managing technical documentation. + Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance. + Experience with: gathering, analyzing, and presenting complex data effectively to program elements and leadership. + Using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams). + Creating/Modifying graphics, tables, and other visual elements. + Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines with limited supervision.
