Junior Web Services Developer
Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Junior Web Services Developer to join the Web Applications/Services team. This position is located in our New York, NY office with three days on-site (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a team flex day) and two days remote. Fully remote is NOT an option.
Job Overview:
The ideal candidate for this position is a detail focused self starter who is comfortable working on a lean, highly productive development team. As a Haymarket Junior Applications/Services Developer you are a hands-on individual who is motivated to provide user centric design for complex front-end applications. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of solid Web API and data centric application experience. Responsibilities will primarily include building and maintaining a new client facing service, as well as interacting with and maintaining existing microservices.
You will need to be a great communicator and team player helping to bridge the gap between design, requirements, and technical constraints. You keep an eye on performance and stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends and can understand how they could be applied here at Haymarket.
Overview and Responsibilities:
Integrate with the existing team on a fundamental level
Develop new user-facing and backend features
Build reusable code and libraries
Optimize application for speed and scalability
Deliver functional - testable code on or before due dates
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Adaptable with strong documentation skills
Skills And Qualifications:
Thorough grounding in C#, .Net Core/.Net 5<
Experience building Blazor applications or writing razor pages
Experience with front-end component libraries (Telerik preferred)
Proficient understanding REST, Web APIs
Familiarity working in a ticketed workflow system such as Jira
Proficient understanding of Git
Proficient understanding of OOP standards, C# Solid Principles and design patterns
Knowledge of TDD
Proficiency with VS Code/Visual Studio and Resharper
Nice To Have Skills:
Good understanding of ADA accessibility principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
Swagger
CypressJS
Experience in microservices highly desirable

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, skill level, functional and/or industry knowledge, education level, certifications, as well as other qualifications.
