Position Summary:Perforce is searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team. The Senior Software Engineer will have strong experience in software engineering with the ability to build robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business.
Responsibilities:Maintain and enhance Perforce Java applications including a graphical library of components used to accelerate the creation of Java GUI applications. This components library allows Java developers to quickly create mission critical graphical applications to display information through tables, Gantt charts, maps, charts, and other user interface components.Peer-review the work of other software designers and mentor themContinuously review and make recommendations to improve processes, tools and implementationParticipate in high level system design and implementation of new features.Create clean, well-tested code and deliver the highest quality software.Provide task estimates and accurately report progress as part of an Agile process.May be required to support additional products/brands as needed.Requirements:Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work within a cross-functional teamBS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject5+ years experience with Java, experience with C++ as well a bonusExperience in 2D graphics, mapping, and/or user interface developmentExperience with Apache Tomcat and other application serversExperience with Maven and AntExperience with version control, especially git Experience using CI systems , especially TeamCityExperience in developing Java SwingExperience with test-driven developmentExperience with object-oriented analysis and design using common design patternsExperience learning and managing an existing code base to improve it and expand its capabilitiesAbility to work independentlyStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset.Come work with us!
