Job Details Job ID: 4989684 Job Description Kaleidoscope Staff Member/Aide Position Title: Kaleidoscope Aide/Staff Member Salary/Rate: + $15/hour, Experience considered + PM Hours 1:30-6:00 PM daily Kaleidoscope *shift may start or end earlier due to needs Contract Length: School days throughout the school year as required and attend training as requested. Immediate Supervisor: Program Coordinator Position Summary: Works to ensure a safe and respectful site for all parents and children. Helps create a nurturing place to facilitate social and academic growth and development. Attend training and certifications as directed. Help Site Coordinator maintain order and personal conduct that is above reproach with appropriate content, volume and tone used with both children and adults. Ability to follow directions, take initiative and work well with both children and adults. Ability to move around the site to assist with the needs of children. Any and all staff members may be asked to work at different sites to help cover illness or vacation. The ability to travel to different sites is necessary with personal transportation. Duties: Responsible for arriving on time and functioning as part of a team. Must be able and committed to helping children grow and develop. Supervision and guidance of homework, friendly and professional communication with parents, students and coworkers is imperative to the success of the employee. Mobility to ensure safety and wellness of children for the majority of the shift. Other duties as assigned by Site Coordinator or Director. Qualifications: Minimum of High School Diploma with successful childcare experience required. Staff should show a willingness to learn and apply new skills and knowledge. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team of professionals, problem-solve issues, and a true love of children are necessary. Ability to stand and move among stations at the site, lift and carry 25-50 lbs, walk students to various places in the building, including the use of stairs, react to emergency situations calmly and quickly and perform other physical duties that are necessary to perform the job. Works in standard office and school building environments. Must be able to work regularly scheduled hours. Must be able to handle stress. Must be physically mobile as directed at the site.
