Before leaving your furry friends with us for daycare or boarding, we will need an application and contract filled out. You may print a copy here or we can provide one at our facility. The Kennel Assistant is responsible for providing a clean, efficient and healthy environment for the animals in daycare, boarding, or grooming at the Pet Resort. A day in the life of a Kennel Assistant: Maintain the cleanliness of the resort, including kennel area, runs, and outside grounds. Feed appropriate food/amount to daycare and boarding pets when necessary. Monitor and record important information about the animals’ conditions, behavior and habits (elimination, eating, etc.). Walk animals three times a day or as otherwise directed. Notify manager or appropriate personnel of unusual medical or behavioral problems. Maintain laundry throughout the day and keep laundry area neat. Monitor and maintain the kennel inventory to include food, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, etc. Completing other duties as assigned by the Resort Manager or other leadership to ensure optimal care of pets, customer service, and overall operation of the resort. High School diploma or GED preferred. Flexible schedule including some weekend/holiday shifts. Must have computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word. Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations. Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
