Key Account Manager, GTR - Airports and Borders, North America

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Global Travel Retail Team as Key Customer Account Manager, North America Airports and Borders.

GTR as a channel affords employees the unique opportunity to translate & execute the global account strategy within an assigned region; engaging key customers, cross-functional colleagues and domestic teams, to fully unlock our growth ambitions.

The KAM's role is to lead the relationship with GTR team's most strategically important accounts in order to increase market share, accelerate profitability and drive brand visibility aligned to Beam Suntory's commercial & corporate mission.

To achieve this, we require a highly motivated candidate with fantastic interpersonal skills, able to build collaborative relationships in order to succeed in this hugely influential area of our business.  

Role Responsibilities Lead the management of your customer relationships, maximizing opportunities for the joint benefit of Suntory and our customers: Preparation and execution of GTR strategy to deliver executional & financial performance goals for the region Create & implement Joint Business plans with your region to achieve the objectives of both Beam Suntory & the customer Undertake regular account analysis & continuously monitor performance (such as P&L metrics, forecast accuracy, competitor awareness) with appropriate planning and interventions to ensure achievement of company goals Deliver on RSVP3 goals annually (Range, Space, Visibility, Price, Promotion & Persuasion) at Account & store level Lead the strategy & agenda on Brand Ambassador efficiency & optimization across all markets to deliver brilliant execution Commercially astute in effective negotiation, with a value-added approach to sales & strong problem-solving skills Understand market dynamics, market trends and competitor activity and utilize this information to develop plans that assist in Beam Suntory winning in the marketplace Develop a strong customer contact strategy and deploy this to maximum effect, supported by internal cross functional stakeholders Act as the champion for your customer internally and develop strong relationships with key internal colleagues ensuring a proactive approach to delivering success Qualifications

 

Ideally more than 7-9 yrs FMCG experience Strong commercial acumen and financial understanding  Customer focused strategic thinker Excellent negotiation and influencing ability Creative flair with an eye for shopper needs and category insight Team player with a strong collaborative approach Ability to travel within American region – 20% Ability to work under pressure with a 'can-do' attitude Strong analytical skills and ability to deal with complexity Good administrative and organizational management Resilience in adversity Aptitude to lead and manage change Travel Retail experience is highly preferred Experience in GTR working specifically with Airports and Borders is highly preferred Prefer that this person is in NYC, but will possibly consider Miami for the right candidate

 

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is a base salary of $125,000 - 145,000 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. Salary range is commensurate with candidate’s location, experience and skillset.
