We have several volunteer opportunities throughout the year. FMH Conveyors is searching for a Key Account Manager to join our Sales team. This position reports directly to the Sr. Vice President of Sales and is responsible for the management of all sales attributed to their assigned national account. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned. + Conduct product demonstrations for the customer in-house and at customer location when needed. + Respond to customer by showing existing applications and providing timely quotations and application layouts. + Process and maintain records for these segments of our company as needed. + Assist in forecasting sales and product mix within this these segments of business + Quote price, delivery, credit terms and prepare sales contracts. + Make regular sales calls via in-person, Internet or other effective methods. + Be involved in product simplification and elimination of costly outdated methods. + Monitor the company’s performance to plan and forecast product sales. + Responsible for identifying and developing relationships with key decision makers within each account. + Analyze all opportunities within each account. + When needed, coordinate activities with the outside sales team to target and penetrate new and existing accounts. + Effectively communicate at all levels of the account. + When needed, utilize internal cross-functional resources. + Will have access to all sales channels. + Carry out the responsibilities of this position in a manner allowing concentration upon safety, quality and productivity---the top three organizational priorities. + Develop and maintain a working relationship with each OEM. + Develop relationships with the sales, engineering, and marketing teams. + Establish and maintain contacts with current and new direct customers. + Visit account on a regular basis. + Ensures company policies and procedures are reviewed often and notifies the Vice President of Sales when such policies orprocedures may need to be revised to increase work efficiency in the department + Maintain relationship with Inside Sales Department to keep informed of account activity. + Become aware of the gross margin with current accounts. + Look for ways to increase margins with accounts, e.g., by forming partnership agreements. + Control cost of sales expenses for projects by proper planning and scheduling. + Assist the marketing team and new product development with the launching of our new products. + Work with marketing department to ensure company name remains visible with all customers on a regular basis POSITION REQUIREMENTS: + EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree + EXPERIENCE: Five + years of field sales experience preferably in the material handling industry + ERP and Salesforce.com systems experience and a willingness & capability to learn new computer software programs + Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills + Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of company personnel + Must be able to work independently as well collaborate with the sales team + Exceptional organizational skills required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Stand, walk, or be mobile for up to an eight-hour shift; bend, twist and reach with arms and hands, dexterity with fingers to handle, feel objects, tools or controls. May occasionally need to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Position will require specific vision ability such as close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT : + Travel is required. 40-50% + Office & factory or facility shop floor
