C.H. Robinson is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) to join the Robinson Fresh team. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive growth and maximize retention of a large retail account. You’ll create demand, identify new opportunities within your portfolio, and sell creative solutions aligned to customer needs. As the primary point of accountability, you’ll be responsible for customer advocacy, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating to deliver on customer commitments across multiple teams and geographies. Responsibilities:
Foster and expand relationships across customer supply chain departments, collaborating with network subject matter experts to develop product, mode, or service line opportunities
Drive market share expansion by actively managing an opportunity pipeline and qualification process, leveraging CRM data and collaborating with internal resources
Conduct regular business reviews to gain customer insights and identify growth opportunities, presenting strategic solutions to customers
Analyze and share customer-specific data with internal teams to collaboratively create viable supply chain solutions, emphasizing the application of digital solutions and technology
Own account strategy, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and award management, while proactively managing customer pricing strategy and pursuing personal development opportunities
Manage conflict with customers diplomatically and act as their advocate internally, ensuring alignment and prioritization of resources for exceptional service delivery
Target continuous improvement for customers, collaborating with internal teams to identify strategic solutions and ensure optimal execution through SOPs and mutually agreed customer KPIs
Review financial results and drive account health through proactive financial analysis and process improvement initiatives
Utilize Robinson Fresh tools to provide customers with business insights and prioritize spending time in customer locations to drive volume opportunities
Manage order activities and ensure accuracy in operating systems, including order communication flow, service failures, track & trace, pricing exceptions, and inventory reconciliation
Required Qualifications:High School diploma or GED
Minimum 4 years of experience in sales and/or account management
Ability to travel up to 20% (domestically and internationally)
Preferred Qualifications:Supply chain knowledge
Produce experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Demonstrates and drives a data driven approach
Demonstrated influencing, negotiation, collaboration, communication and presentation skills
Proven track record of delivering measurable financial results through sales or account management solutions
Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs
