This is a full time, exempt position.

Position Summary
As a Key Account Manager, you will help ADM grain origination develop long-term producer relationships to secure supply chains critical to sustainably feed the worlds growing population. In addition, you will be responsible for farm direct grain origination to ADM assets, strategy, and growth of your territory. The Key Account Manager will have account ownership for target customers and prospects with emphasis on outside of the office sales and origination efforts for their territory.

What You’ll Do:Responsible for growing and maintaining relationships with 30-100 key producer accountsDevelop an in-depth working knowledge of the customer’s operation as it relates to grain marketing and logistics. This may include how local markets might provide selling opportunities, and how tailored risk management solutions might meet specific marketing goals for the producerIdentify cross-selling opportunities within ADM’s portfolio to benefit the producerTotal origination responsibilities for at least 10m bushels in the region highly focused on ADM asset origination. Risk management focused for both producer and ADM, as it pertains to originationDirect ship business into non ADM assets as appropriate to create year round relevancy with the producer.Execute and support regional Regen Ag programs which may include data management and technology adoptionNetwork to attain positive, collaborative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions Help develop origination employees, including sales skills, application of risk management products and crop insurance, and account managementEngage with accounting and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate accounting and contract managementEffectively communicate competitive advantages and vulnerabilities to further regional development and success of ADM to key internal stakeholdersWork closely with Account Specialist to maintain positive account relationshipsSupport and develop local and regional business objectivesWho We’re Looking For:
Preferred 7+ years’ experienceAbility to evaluate and manage risk with key accountsUnderstand how to lead and conduct professional sales/origination calls with customers and prospectsCollaborate with local colleagues to provide insight and support strategic goalsCommitment to territory planning and efficient execution
