Key Account Manager- West

The Key Account Manager will manage all aspects of engagements with existing customers within the Feedback Encoder business unit. You will build relationships and understand customer business in order to provide appropriate products or solutions. You will define sales and growth strategy toward key customers while aligning with critical sales business objectives. You will identify opportunities and build credibility with customers and utilize your product knowledge to deliver the value proposition to the customers.

 The ideal candidate for this position can be located anywhere in West Territory (CA, AZ, Pacific Northwest)

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth in the assigned territory Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, distributors, and partners Develop account plans that identify opportunities for growth and outline strategies for achieving revenue targets Conduct regular business reviews with key customers and distributors to review performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and align on future goals and objectives Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, as well as new accounts that fit the company's ideal customer profile Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with key customers, ensuring that all terms and conditions are mutually beneficial and consistent with company objectives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute industry-specific sales strategies, including product development, pricing, and marketing campaigns Provide industry-specific insights and thought leadership to the overall sales organization, helping to differentiate the company's offerings and win new business in the market Build and maintain relationships with key industry organizations and influencers, representing the company at industry events and conferences Monitor and analyze customer and market trends, providing insights and recommendations to the sales team and cross-functional partners to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and deal information in the company's CRM system Maintain accurate sales records and reports If required, may have greater decision-making authority, especially when it comes to negotiating contracts, setting pricing, and making significant business decisions related to key accounts
 
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, engineering or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a track record of success in both business development (growth at new customers) and account management (growth at existing customers) Experience in selling electronic components or motion related products (ie motors, drives, encoders) Up to 50% travel within West territory Experience in a target industry is preferred Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Willingness to travel as needed to attend conferences and events
