Position Summary:
We’re seeking a KEY ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE – Retail is responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with top retail executives to champion SPS solutions. This position demands advanced strategic sales acumen, deep expertise in retail supply chain processes, and the ability to drive long-term goals despite complex challenges. The role involves leading comprehensive relationship management, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure customer success, and skillfully negotiating contracts to secure high-value partnerships. This role will adeptly penetrate new markets and deliver persuasive executive-level presentations that motivate purchase decisions and foster sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and sustain relationship with top-tier executives across Retailers to advocate SPS solutions that address critical business challenges and enhance market competitivenessFormulate and implement sophisticated sales strategies tailored for complex and dynamic market environments, ensuring adaptability and responsiveness to market trendsDrive the organization towards long-term objectives, demonstrating resilience and innovative problem-solving to overcome obstaclesExhibit deep expertise in core retail supply chain processes including order, inventory, and invoice management, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of customer experiences and operational efficienciesLead ongoing relationship management from initial engagement through to the execution of the Community program, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver sustained value and growth for Fortune 200 RetailersFoster robust collaboration with internal teams, ensuring transparent communication of key account insights to garner support and drive customer successUtilize SPS’ Community Service to proactively identify and resolve latent issues, applying strategic mitigation practices to enhance client outcomesStrategically penetrate new business markets, leveraging advance business acumen and negotiation skills to establish SPS as a trusted partner despite brand recognition challengesLead the development and negotiation of complex contract terms, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that support long-term partnershipsCraft and deliver compelling executive-level presentations that influence and drive client decisions, securing high-value deals and fostering long-term relationshipsLocation:
In this hybrid role, you will be required to work onsite from our Minneapolis office two days per week.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree OR a combination of some post-secondary education AND 8+ years of relevant experience in Sales8+ years of experience with a successful track record in sales generated by one’s own leads/prospecting and selling complex service, technology, or software solutions into new accountsDemonstrated success selling a new-to-market concept, acting as an evangelist for that solutionOral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organizationProven experience in new territory development with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality and a well-disciplined sales approachPreferred Qualifications:
Prior software, supply chain management, and/or retail systems process or consulting experience. Experience working with large software companies, huge retailers and/or merchandising buyersPrior Retail and SaaS sales experience Experience with Salesforce, snowflakeWhat We Offer:
